"What Counts as Having 'Value'?"

Recently, I was chatting with a friend about the issues of public accounts. He said you need to be clear about the positioning of your public account to attract those who like that positioning. At that time, I kept wondering, if the positioning of a public account is unclear, does it mean it has no value?
Today, after watching the live broadcast of the 2021 WeChat public class, they talked about video accounts. Last March, I wrote an article about video accounts, stating that WeChat is not trying to replicate Douyin; instead, it is doing what it is best at, with a traceable approach.
I mentioned a hypothesis back then, and now it has been proven that my initial view was correct. The underlying logic of WeChat's product development has always been to provide a traceable experience. From WeChat replacing SMS, public accounts replacing RSS blogs, to mini-programs replacing H5, you will find that all innovations revolve around turning a meaningless number into a traceable ID.
How do we understand this? You see, previously, SMS might just be a string of numbers, but now on WeChat, you can see avatars, friends, and can send voice messages, videos, etc. The same goes for public accounts; you can see all articles from a person instead of just one article in a vast sea. Moreover, there are various automated replies that can guide you to their WeChat. Mini-programs turn H5, which had no entry point, into applications with fixed entry points. So what about video accounts? The same logic applies.
The current positioning of video accounts is "a short content platform that everyone can create." So, is there any value in posting on video accounts versus writing for public accounts?
In fact, everyone has a different definition of value, but if we think deeply, we can find that value stems from the relationships between people.
Whether I share knowledge, help others, or read a certain article, fundamentally, it is about me feeling valuable or thinking you are valuable.
Understanding this allows us to express value more clearly. We can choose to express our value in various forms, allowing others to feel our value. How do people feel this? It comes from our five senses.
Regardless of the form you use, if you provide positive feedback in the relationships between people, then you have effectively expressed your value.
Sometimes, we completely rely on interpersonal feedback for value, especially when we see many people who are better than us, we may feel we have no value. However, often our way of expressing ourselves is just not right.
Since you have value to others, does that mean you have no value to yourself? For example, when you drink a can of happiness soda, isn't that you expressing value to yourself through taste?
Before expressing value to others, we should first express value to ourselves. Don’t think that the content you share has no value; sharing itself is very valuable. In the process of sharing, we deepen our impression of knowledge and engage in deeper thinking, which inherently provides significant value to ourselves.
In the future, the positioning of my public account will be that it has no specific positioning, and I won’t consider this issue. I will share content that I find good with everyone, and the content of this public account will grow alongside my understanding.
